More or less: I do volunteer work with the city, and wear the appropriate colours, but you know, since we didn't exactly have to shed blood for it, Canada Day is not a day for fervent patriotism, as far as I know (and we're not even that old. If you count the Queen signing the law allowing us to pass our own constitution and thus being separate from the UK, then we're approximately 28 years old.) I always hear about the American holiday, which, being quite close to ours, kind of overshadows the First of July in terms of celebration.
